"This painting is done with acylics, instead of oils. At the time I had stopped using
oils because the fumes from the solvents were causing me not to feel well.
I've
found new products that are close to non-toxic.
Also, at the time, I thought this was
a lovely dream, to ride a horse freely,
with hardly any direction from the reins, and
no stirrups to have to worry about.
Now I've found that there are delightful ways of communicating with the horse, called,
loosely, "natural horsemanship" that can be learned, and taught to the horse, and rider.
The "perfect day" has been a reality many times over. "
