"You know, I didn't title this one, which is unusual, I usually
give the work simple names that just say what they are.
This time, just for fun I asked the dear folks at the Johnson Gallery
to come up with a name for me. I was a little surprised by the name "Aurora",
I had to go look it up. Wasn't that the name of the good fairy in Cinderella???.
Well, I looked it up in the dictionary and the word refers to the Roman goddess of dawn,
gold morning light, after a long dark nite, with lots of scary sounds, and cold.
I decided that I like the name, because that's the feeling of the painting.
Its comfortable, loving, cared for, everything is okay, and will remain that way."
