This woman is awake, joyful, and aware, as are her companions. The title, and feeling of this painting come from a favorite poem by Paramahansa Yogananda: "Oh life is sweet, and death a dream, when Thy song flows through me. Oh joy is sweet, and sorrow a dream, as Thy song flows through me." This the highest philosophy he said, fear nothing, remain conscious of the underlying reality (of intelligent goodness). |
