'Apple #6", small study, oil painting by Paula Zima

   This is a very dramatic apple. Note it's handsome contrast
of green and the ripeness of the red, and then that reflextion
in it's shadow!

     This one was painted on a piece of 100% cotton museum
quality board that was coated with gesso, (essentially
a primer coating that protects the cotton fibers from the oil
   in the paint. ) There is a 1/4" border, and the slightly rough
edges of the paint can be seen. It will probably have to be
fitted with a custom frame.
